Built from every seat
at the table.
Ascendesign was built by people who have been the subcontractor, the designer, the builder, the general contractor — and the developer signing the note.
A firm built to close gaps.
Wesley Nye founded Ascendesign after a career spent on every side of the construction table. He began building recording studios — soundproofing, decoupling, acoustics, signal and data design, and custom fabrication — some of the most technically demanding spaces in the industry.
That precision carried into historic renovation of banks and mansions, and then into retail, government, and high-rise construction at scale. Along the way he has worked as subcontractor, designer, builder, and general contractor, and today works as a commercial developer carrying his own projects and his own risk.
Ascendesign is the product of that full-circle experience: a firm built to close the gaps between design and field, owner and contractor, promise and delivery.
One Point of Accountability
You deal with us, not a rotating cast of subs. We own the outcome regardless of who's on the tools.
Best Solution, Not the Easiest One
We match resources to your project — not the other way around. If the right answer is someone outside our network, we'll tell you.
Delivered on Schedule
We show up to OAC meetings, submit on time, and close our punch list.
Supported After Occupancy
We don't disappear after closeout. Managed support is built into every engagement.
You hire people, not a company.
You'll know exactly who's running your project — and they'll pick up when you call. We don't just staff a job. We bring the right people to your specific scope, coordinate the work, and own the outcome from start to finish.

Project Execution
Michael owns project delivery at Ascendesign end to end: estimating and preconstruction, budget and schedule, buyout, and daily field execution. He builds and maintains the firm's subcontractor bench, and holds safety compliance, site security, and quality control across every active project. Because he prices the work he builds, estimating error surfaces on the jobsite rather than at closeout — the single most reliable protection you have against a budget that drifts.
